Before any sound you can hear footsteps approaching, heavy breathing and cries.
"do you find me statistic" are the first words heard, they imply that the speaker is powerful and smart.
The scene is in black and white, this adds tension and suspense it is more affective than if it were in colour.
The camera angle is as if from the person standing over her's point of view, crouching over her body watching her suffer, wiping her brow in a comforting way then putting a bullet in her head, yes I'd say he was "statistic." The fact that we never see the guys face adds the element of suspense, the mood set by his actions are menace and murder.
